When Julian was diagnosed at the age of 3 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), I was pregnant with Ava. The day Ava was born, Julian and her brothers, (Jackson and Hunter) were so excited and proud. The twins (Julian and Jackson) went to a soccer game that night and told everyone her name was Princess, for a long time Julian called her Aba. We lived in Brandon, which was 2 1/2 hours from Winnipeg Children's Hospital & CancerCare Manitoba, once or sometimes twice a week we headed off for cancer treatments. The first 4 years of her life she grew up going to CancerCare in Winnipeg with her big brother Julian, she even stayed with Julian on hospital stays. All the mom's, nurses, and workers at CancerCare took turns holding Ava when Julian went in for a treatment.
Ava and Julian had such a special bond, and Julian loved Aba so much!!
